Standard Rates

Standard rates are used when packages are not applicable, or as an extension to an existing engagement.

When standard rates apply

Ontologic primarily works with clearly scoped, outcome-focused packages. Standard rates exist to support situations where scope cannot yet be fully defined, or where work extends beyond a package.

Rates are structured by type of work, not just time spent — with strategic thinking priced higher than implementation.

Rate tiers

Strategic & Advisory Work

High-level advisory, system design, and technical decision-making.

Hourly: €150 – €180 / hour

Daily: €1,200 – €1,400 / day

  • Used for early-stage exploration or complex decisions
  • Not intended for execution-heavy work

Short-Term Implementation

Focused implementation following a defined package or scope.

Hourly: €120 – €140 / hour

Daily: €950 – €1,100 / day

  • Typically follows a package-based engagement
  • Limited availability

Long-Term Implementation

Ongoing collaboration and development over a longer period.

Hourly: €100 – €120 / hour

Daily: €800 – €950 / day

  • Aligned with retainers
  • Preferred for long trajectories

Relationship to packages

  • Packages are always preferred when scope can be defined upfront
  • Standard rates are typically used before, after, or alongside a package
  • Long-term rates align with development retainers
  • Strategic rates are not intended for execution-heavy work

Notes

  • All prices exclude VAT
  • Packages are the preferred way of working
  • Standard rates are used when packages are not applicable
  • Production infrastructure is always client-owned
  • Third-party services are billed directly to the client
